I am always inspired when I hear about women who make the time to travel. It’s been far too easy for my friends and me to get caught up in our daily lives putting other people’s needs before our own. Travel usually means a family vacation or a business trip. Rarely do we get a chance to see the sights we want to see or stop in at that little restaurant or quaint shop along the way that just appeals to us. We need more positive memories in our lives and travel provides a way to create them.
Travel also expands our minds and helps us to grow as individuals. Seeing other places and learning about new cultures provides the opportunity for us to challenge our own beliefs about the world and the people in it.
I came across a quote recently by John Muir that really resonated with me.
“The world is big and I want to have a good look at it before it gets dark.”
This blog is dedicated to all the women who also want to have a good look at the world. Whether in pairs, or groups or by themselves, may they travel far and wide and enrich their spirits and those of the people around them through their adventures.
